Virtual Training – Rounding for Quality & Patient Safety

This program addresses leadership responsibilities and techniques related to rounding for quality and patient safety on the nursing unit.  Additionally, discussion will include the potential consequences when organizations lack the leadership oversight that rounding provides.  This presentation will address how leaders can model their commitment to quality and patient safety and build credibility among the staff. This presentation will provide techniques that staff and leaders can use in executing their rounding activities including key “hot spots” of regulatory focus and mitigating next steps when issues are found.

This program helps staff and leaders understand the importance of quality and patient safety rounding, rounding techniques and staff questions that can support regulatory readiness, and the importance of creating a culture of constant vigilance and error prevention.
