TJC & CMS Physical Environment Update

Understanding the relationship of the CMS requirements and the new Physical Environment Chapter is essential for successful survey activities, and more importantly, to create a safe Physical Environment for patient care delivery.  The session will include discussion on the CMS requirements and their impact on the Joint Commission Physical Environment.  Also, the attendee will understand how to implement a compliant Physical Environment program and crosswalk between the previous Environment of Care and Life Safety Chapter and the Physical Environment Chapter.  There will also be a Life Safety Code Review and discussion of the ASHE ICRA 2.0.
