OVERVIEWS & ROUNDTABLES

As an MHEI member you and your staff are eligable to participate in various programs overviews and roundtables held on the MHEI campus.  Most overviews are intended for executive level participants as they provide a no cost way for senior staff to make decisions on programs and information that may or may not be valuable for their organization.  Currently, MHEI has two overview programs that are available to member hospitals.  Roundtables are convened when a topic of interest to a small group of professionals but may be relevant over a period of time. 


Developing a Positive Culture Overview

Involving a work completed using the the tenets of Positive Psychology to transform nursing units into positive workplaces reducing turnover and increasing quality, this overview is for CNO's and V.P.'s of Nursing.  Interested individuals should contact Alison Burrows at MHEI.  

The Joint Commission Overview

Every February The Joint Commision sends a representative to MHEI to present an overview of what is new for the coming year.  This year's TJC Overview is scheduled for February 9, 2012.  The program is free to MHA members.  For more information click here.

Human Resources Roundtable

The Human Resource Roundtable is available to a Vice-presidents of Human Resources and meets three to four times per year.  The current topic being discussed centers on labor relations.  MHEI has arranged for the principal of the labor consulting firm IRI Consulting to participate in all of the roundtable meetings to ensure that the latest information on a national, state and local level is available to the roundtable participants. Participants are able to discuss this information as well as local concerns with each other as well as the consultant.  For more information on attending, please contact Alli Cain; acain@mhei.org
