MHEI offers three major conferences each year. The purpose of these events is to bring the newest and most sophisticated information to Maryland health care providers.
Medical Staff, Governance & Leadership Conference:
Targeting Executives, Senior Staff, Medical Staff leaders and board Trustees this conference features speakers from health care and non health care settings who, as national thought leaders, will present unique approaches to meeting the organizational leadership challenges ahead.

The fall 2011 conference, Health Care Reform: Leading through Innovation, took place on October 16-18, 2011 at the Hotel Hershey, Hershey, Pennsylvania. Our keynote speaker was noted neurologist and NASA astronaut Dr. Roberta Bondar. Dr's Glenn Steele and Nicholas Wolter joined us to discuss ACO's and related issues. Journalist T.R. Reid led us through a thought-provoking discussion focusing on what the world may have to offer in regard to better, cheaper and fairer health care.
Healthcare Leadership Conference:
Targeting Directors and other mid-level managers this conference is a companion conference to the Medical Staff, Governance & Leadership Conference as it takes the same general content area and focuses attention on helping middle leaders use leading-edge thinking to adjust their leadership to the challenges ahead.

This conference was held on September 22, 2011 in Annapolis, Maryland. Focusing on Health Care Reform and how it will change the job of the middle manager our featured speakers included Admiral Thad Allen (ret.) and noted health care leaders Dr. Tim Porter-O’Grady and Ms. Sharon Cox, RN., MSN.
Maryland Patient Safety Center Annual Conference:
Targeting all health care providers this one-day conference features national patient-safety experts as well as local best practices. Complete with five patient safety specialty tracks including Leadership, Culture, Measurement, Patient Voices and Hot Topics this conference offers health care organizational teams the opportunity to focus on the issues that are affecting them the most.
The 2012 Annual conference took place on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at the Baltimore Convention Center. Featured speakers will included, back by popular demand “Iron-Heart” Brian Boyle.
