Paul Martin, MA, MSPaul has been President of the Maryland Healthcare Education Institute (MHEI) since 1984, and serves as treasurer of the board of the Chesapeake Healthcare Forum (CHF). Prior to moving to Maryland, he was the Vice President for Human Resources at the Geater Cleveland Hospital Association for almost eight years.
Paul's dedication is to change and improvement through education, and he brings to the Institute a strong background of skills, expertise and experience to help achieve that objective. Paul's experience ranges from two years as a high school English teacher to teacher training with the Peace Corps in Africa to leadership development, organizational assessment, and board developemnt for hospitals in several states. He has worked in educational media in writing, production, and sales, and has developed quality improvement products and specialized training activities for many organizations. He has a master's degree in education administration from Fordham University and a master's in instructional technology from the Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University.
